My bet is Gwen will show up in Kaineng, do her stuff (ie. Burn everything), and dance in the middle singing "THE ROOF! THE ROOF! THE ROOF IS ON FIRE!".
Pretty simple to burn Cantha down, just one misplaces match is all it needs. And if a disturbed Gwen visits...

One of the last things heard in Kaineng...
Childs voice: Mommy! Mommy! I just learned firestorm! Watch!

Almost all the Kaineng quests had a way of sucking the enjoyment out of playing but I still loved the huge buildings and city/slum scenery. The artwork was incredible even on my POS pc. On top of that there was an initial feeling of scale unlike prophecies. It's too bad we couldn't interact with the map though - I would have loved to cast some AoE spell and let part of a building/bridge rain down on the Jade or Am Fah, find some hidden pathway through a building that lead to a rare chest or difficult boss mob, or even fall/knock someone off a rooftop.
I always thought I was the only one who liked the Kaineng area (ignoring the quests), surely there must be someone else who appreciates it

I like the Kaineng area, but sometimes it can get repetitive.
And I'm still confused about where the hell Cantha gets all its food. I didn't see any farms... at least Tyria had farms, and Elona was so spread out that it would be able to feed itself. But Cantha... how the hell can it support itself?
Earthquakes would devastate the region though if they did happen.

My guess a few of the Asuras were working on some kind of invention and it blew up causing tremors and earthquakes :P LOL, I really don't know but it sounds interesting to know how the earthquakes happened.

Kaineng City is already on fire. In the Undercity and Nahpui Quarter. Those are just about the only parts of the city I like.
It's quite amazing that the whole city hasn't burned down given how out-of-control those fires seem. And the fact that no one is doing anything to stop them.

Cantha is a trade ntion, all of its food is imported apart from some odd pieces, its bulk crop comes from kryta and it luxuaries from Elona (you can find this out by talking to folks arounf the port cities)
either that or that chef feeds them all...
how did this turn from a thread about how the tunnels will apear to one about which campaign is most flammale anyway?

Also there's a burned-out area in Xaquang Skyway, where [wiki]Shreader Sharptongue[/wiki] hangs out...

Really Tyria and Elona are two regions on the same continent (supposedly, still hasn't been proven completely)....we just don't know what that continent name is...but Cantha is definitely not part of it.
|
It has been proven that Tyria and Elona are connected, there is a way to get into Tyria from Elona without going through the ship. So yeah they are connected, and there are references in lore that says they are connected.

Its kinda funny how some of the people that complain about a lack of realism also complain about the city slums....

I got the impression that Cantha was Northwest of Tyria and Elona was Southeast of Tyria while GWEN will introduce the Northeast; closing up the whole of the map.
